Event Details

Rock Star Supply Co. invites you to join us for a free screening of American Teacher, a documentary film produced by Pulitzer Prize-nominated author Dave Eggers and Ninive Clements Calegari (the founding director of 826 National) and narrated by Matt Damon.

American Teacher chronicles the stories of four teachers living and working in disparate urban and rural areas of the country. By following these teachers as they reach different milestones throughout their careers, American Teacher tells the deeper story of the teaching profession in America today. The film speaks to everyone invested in the success of our education system, our students, and the future of our nation’s democracy and economy.

Seating is general admission. The movie will be followed by a moderated discussion of the film, hosted by Jeremy Wang of Rock Star Supply Co. and Collin Quinn of Roosevelt High School.

We hope you can join us!

Jay Peterson
Chairman of the RSS Co. Board (and Friday morning tutor!)

Rock Star Supply Co. is a nonprofit organization that improves educational outcomes for at-risk teens by engaging local college students and fun professionals in our tutoring program. We believe anyone who wants to change a teen’s life is a rock star, and since 2009, we’ve supplied those individuals to Twin Cities high schools.
